Biography

Mariana Nava Verdugo is a Tracy native and a graduate of John C. Kimball High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, East Bay. Following the completion of her undergraduate education, Mariana enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Supply Administration and Operations Specialist in 2021. She currently serves as a Platoon Sergeant for the 3043 Platoon in San Jose. Throughout her military service, Mariana has served at multiple installations, including San Diego, Hawaii, and San Bruno, where she has developed strong leadership, organizational, and operational skills.

Mariana’s commitment to public service led her to pursue a career in law. She is currently a third-year law student at Humphreys University, Drivon School of Law, in Stockton, California. While balancing her legal studies with military service, Mariana has gained valuable experience working as a criminal defense legal assistant, where she has supported attorneys in case preparation, client advocacy, and courtroom proceedings.

Outside of her professional and academic responsibilities, Mariana enjoys spending time with her family, is an avid workout enthusiast, and attends concerts.
